Finding an officiant is actually very easy. Below I’ve listed several places to look. It isn’t a complete list, but it is the most common places to look.
Websites- The biggest are Weddingwire, The Knot, and Thumbtack.
A wedding planner- These folks have has a list of officiants that they work with on a regular basis. However if you have someone in mind that isn’t on their list, they will work with you.
Hotels with chapels- These venues have a list of officiants they work with on a regular basis. As with the wedding planners, if you have someone in mind, they will let you bring in your own officiant.
Event Venues: These places may have a list of officiants they work with on a regular basis. As with the wedding planners and the hotels, if you have someone in mind, they will let you bring in your own officiant.
Golf Courses- If you are planning on getting married at a golf course, it’s a hit or miss; some do have a list of officiants they work with (or you can bring in your own) and some will require you to bring in your own.
Las Vegas Chapels- The LV chapels most definitely have their own officiant and they won’t let you bring in your own. They’re on a very tight schedule, so they don’t have the time to work with you and they can’t risk an outside officiant running long.
Church- If you are planning to be married in a church, only the pastors are allowed to perform weddings. They don’t usually let you bring in someone in from the outside.
Some out of the ordinary places you can check out- Facebook Marketplace, Pinterest, Etsy and Groupon
